Charlie Child is a London based artist and poet. Through his ongoing project, Napkin Notes, he transforms the napkins, coasters and paper trail of hotels, bars and clubs into lasting works of art.

Charlie is the first ever Poet in Residence at Claridge’s in London. His work has been shown at Tramp, George, Dracula Club St Moritz and Belmond St Moritz, with Annabel’s to follow in June.

He has collaborated with brands including Montblanc and Tiffany & Co., and has been featured in Tatler, Vanity Fair, The Times, the BBC and Goop.

Napkin Notes

Born in London

By reworking these materials as framed pieces, Charlie gives permanence to moments that would otherwise disappear.

Each artwork is a photographic print of real items Charlie has collected from hotels, bars, restaurants and clubs around the world. All artworks are giclée printed on museum-grade art paper and framed using premium woods.

Limited Editions

In these rare editions, Charlie hand writes, paints, and crayons the words onto each individual artwork. The words and illustations sit on top of the print to give each one unique texture, character and depth. These are not prints, but living works of art that hold the immediate artist's gestures and motions. This piece by piece process ensures that no two artworks are ever identical.

Finally, each artwork is hand signed and numbered to testify to its authenticity and limited availability.

If you choose to have it framed, we use framers in London that shadow mount the print in box frames, hand made and painted to order.
